A TOP delicatessen in a prime part of York city centre is under new leasehold ownership.
The leasehold interest in Lawri's the Deli, in Newgate, York, has been sold to Lynn and Bob Henshelwood, in a deal sealed by Barry Crux & Company, chartered surveyors of York.
The business, established by David Lawrie in 1982, is renowned by local and regular customers for its sandwiches and is known throughout the North of England for its range of cheeses, charcuterie and cooked meats.
It is in a busy trading area on the corner of Newgate market and close to both Church Street and Parliament Street.
The Henshelwoods say they intend to maintain the traditional service and expand the products. It has also introduced a "fax for snax" service.
