MILLINER Elizabeth Parker has graduated from a York College on to the world catwalk after success in an international competition.
She was highly commended in Hat Magazine's contest in London.
It follows an introduction to the hat-making art at York College for the student from Hamilton Drive, in Holgate.
She is now at the Jacob Kramer College of Art and Design in Leeds.
Picked as a competition finalist, she was invited to display her work at the three-day Pure Fashion Show in Kensington.
She said: "I made some wonderful connections world wide. A French designer has arranged to send my hats down a Paris catwalk with her collection and ID Hats would like to work with me.
"I'm already designing a portfolio to show."
Elizabeth's prize includes hat boxes, hat-making materials such as Panama straws and exotic feathers, and a year's subscription to Hat Magazine.
