Hovingham, who have led division six for much of the season, have handed the title to New Earswick after falling to a dismal defeat at Wilberfoss.

Hovingham were all out for 95 as Steve Cooper took 3-22. James Crawford hit 41no and 62-year-old Dave Hollingsworth 36 as 'Foss won by eight wickets.

Eight-man Heslington were bow-led out for 50 by Cawood's Kevin Farmery (3-21) and John Gibson (2-18). Paul Raper had earlier taken 6-40 in Cawood's 143-9.

The Londesbrough Park v Thorp Arch result was impossible to translate, while details of New Earswick's innings against Stam-ford Bridge were incomplete.

Graham Flint (46) saw Bridge to 138-9 against Martin Hewitson (5-37). Chris Smith was credited with 92no for Earswick.

Kevin Borwell saw Stillington to victory over Civil Service. Chris Manson (51) and Stuart Perrin (28) took Stillington to 165-8 despite Tony Tate's 4-67. Bob Graves made 47 but Borwell's 7-75 saw CS all out for 162.
