THE Tricolour could be flying proud above the Pocklington's Percy Road clubhouse from next week.

The club, who kicked off their Yorkshire Two challenge against West Park Bramhope today, have swooped to sign French duo Thomas Jimenez and Rudy Louriac after successful trials.

The pair will arrive at the club next week having spent a brief spell at the club at the end of July, along with fellow countryman Stephan Hellies.

But while Hellies has decided to try his luck at Driffield, 23-year-old prop Jimenez and 26-year-old utility back Louriac have pledged to join Pock's fight to return to Yorkshire One.

However, Hellies, who has asked to join Pock if things fail to work out at Driffield, will miss the start of the season after he injured his shoulder - ironically in his new side's pre-season friendly against the Percy Roaders.

While the French connection fly in, Pock-born fly-half Dan Clappison, son of the club's director of rugby Tim, is heading out.

Clappison returned to Percy Road for the second half of last season after leaving London Welsh. But the former England colt has decided to return to Otley to fight it out with Simon Binns for the No10 shirt at Cross Green.
