THREE young people had a lucky escape when the car they were in crashed on a North Yorkshire road, overturned, then rolled into a ditch.
The crash happened on an unclassified road off the A19 near the village of Husthwaite, Easingwold.
No other vehicles were involved.
One of the car's passengers, 17-year-old Corrin Dempsey, of Linton-on-Ouse, was taken by ambulance to the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, after the accident.
She had bruises and a head injury, but a hospital spokeswoman today said that Ms Dempsey was "well" and was not kept in overnight.
The driver of the blue Citroen Saxo, Andrew Atkinson, also 17, of Ingleby Barwick, near Thornaby-on-Tees, Cleveland, had shock and minor injuries.
The third person in the car, who has not been named but was said to be a young male, also suffered shock and minor injuries.
Neither Mr Atkinson or the other male passenger needed hospital treatment.
The crash happened at about 8.50 last night.
