RECYCLING waste is taking on a new dimension for more than a thousand houses in the Scarcroft Green area of York.
The households are part of a pilot project launched by the City of York Council which aims to provide the council with the experience necessary to expand the recycling programme further across the city.
The kerbside collection of paper, glass bottles and tin cans for 10,000 more properties will mean that residents no longer have to take waste to bottle banks
