CONTRARY to your over-zealous report (Heartbreak, October 2) my husband was not John Harrison's "best friend", but a good friend and colleague and to assume anything else is to exclude many long friendships John had with others.
John Harrison was a very likeable, hardworking, humorous man much admired by all who enjoyed his company.
To be called a friend of such a man was a privilege.
We, and all his many friends, will miss him.
