FOLLOWING the latest attack on a member of the city council by the York Liberal Democrats I am more than convinced that the line taken by the Conservative group in supporting Labour to continue running the city council was the right decision.
I am sure that the decision was not taken lightly and required a great deal of political courage.
The Liberal Democrats seem to have little interest in the affairs of York other than to merely score points, using as their political pawns the residents of the city. Let us all hope that come next May the Conservatives will hold the balance of power and we shall then have sound decisions taken with a great deal of common sense.
The last thing that the residents of York need is a Liberal Democrat council.
