A £3 MILLION drama complex has been opened at Queen Margaret's School, Escrick, by Lord Harewood.
The building, which includes a separate chapel and theatre, has taken just over a year to build.
It was funded by contributions from parents, pupils and former pupils along with donations from the school.
Lord Harewood gave a speech to parents and pupils at the official opening ceremony yesterday.
A spokeswoman for the school said: "It is wonderful. Before the hall doubled up as a chapel, theatre and everything else and now we have two buildings.
"It is a lovely building and really complements the school's already wonderful facilities."
A play called Filiaregis about the history of the school has already been performed in the new theatre.
