In the remaining Senior League Cup ties New Earswick produced a shock as they knocked out neighbours Huntington in a penalty shoot-out.

Nick Fenton gave Huntington the lead following a 50th-minute goalmouth scramble.

But Earswick equalised and took the game into extra time, where they confirmed their spot-kick triumph.

Wigginton Grasshoppers put their league form behind them to go through to the next round at the expense of Nestl Rowntree. Trees took the lead after only three minutes but Tom Coates equalised to take the game into extra time during which Carl Young hit the winner.

Phil Hill netted a goal in each half to put Old Malton through against T&L Selby, while Terry Hibbert scored the only goal of the game which gave Copmanthorpe a fine win against Thorpe United.

Pocklington overcame Kartiers 3-0 with goals from Dave Ablett, Andy Green and Owen Ellis.

Malton Bacon Factory had a comfortable 5-0 triumph over Civil Service with strikes from Tom Oxtoby, Simon Collins (2), Nick Drew and Darryl Craggs.
