GAYNOR Faye, star of TV's Fat Friends, took a Stride For Life through York in aid of cancer research.
Gaynor, who donned a bright pink wig, was joined by her family and more than 160 people for the 10km walk along the River Ouse and through the city centre.
The event, part of Cancer Research UK's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raised more than £10,500 for the charity.
Gaynor, who plays Lauren Harris in Fat Friends and also played Judy Mallett in Coronation Street, said: "It's great that so many people took part. Their efforts are going to save lives."
Events fundraiser Angela Mountfield said she was delighted with the response.
"It was a lovely atmosphere," she said.
"We're delighted with the amount that has been pledged. Gaynor really enjoyed it."
