AFTER a bright opening Pocklington's much changed side folded and went down 47-17 at Heath.

Despite half a dozen late changes due to injury and unavailability, Pocklington played really well for the first quarter of an hour and took the lead when No 8 Matt Atkinson, in his first game for 18 months, burst over from 20 yards, fly-half Mark Taylor converting.

Pocklington held the lead until the 18th-minute when Heath scored from an overlap but they then shipped points to such an extent that they found themselves 35-7 down by half-time.

Heath increased their lead after the interval before Pocklington belatedly pulled themselves together.

It became much more of an even contest as Pocklington's defensive work tightened up and when wing Rob Parsons was put free on half way he sprinted clear to touch down in the corner.

Heath hit back with a further try but Pocklington had the last word and Phil Thompson was on the end of a forward drive to score the final touchdown.
