Dringhouses overwhelmed a struggling Bishopthorpe side 9-0 in Reserve 'A' and it is difficult to see who can stop them retaining their title even at this early stage in the season.

Goals from Paul Cooper and Alex Dewhirst put them in control at the break, but the floodgates opened in the second half with further goals from Dewhirst, Mark Scoreby (2), Nick Brown, Steve Cross, Craig Atkinson and Wayne Carter.

Osbaldwick staged a second-half recovery as they came back from two goals down to beat Wigginton Grasshoppers 3-2.

James Tong and Luke Roberts had put the Hoppers in control, but Mark Andrews and Paul Crangle (2) saw Osbaldwick take the points.

Guy Kilner scored one for South Bank at New Earswick but it was the introduction of two-goal substitute Andrew Bardy in the second half that clinched a 3-0 win.

Kartiers remain Dringhouses' closest challengers after a 4-1 home win over Huntington. Two goals apiece for Wayne Coulthard and Richard Broadbent did the trick with Chris Dower the lone striker for Huntington.

Rufforth United bounced back to winning ways in Reserve 'B' with a 7-0 win over Barmby Moor. Paul Bunce led the way with a hat-trick and there was a goal apiece for Steve Murray, Simon Hammond, Paul Hemingway and Jim Ledgeway.

Haxby won 4-2 at Civil Service thanks to goals from Paul Jacobs, Mike Taylor, Stuart Baker and Mike Machin. Ian Beavis and John Hampton replied for the home side.

Wigginton Black Horse saw off Easingwold 4-1. Horse were three up at home to Easingwold by half-time courtesy of strikes by Neil Newton, Angus Clapham and Frankie Adams and although the visitors pulled one back, Gareth Wood struck again.

Poppleton and Haxby & Wigginton drew 2-2 after Kevin Andrew struck twice to cancel out goals from Jamie Agnew and Dave Bailey.

Copmanthorpe hit a struggling Moor Lane second string 6-0.

Thorpe United have already struck 28 goals in only four games since joining Reserve 'C' and this week's victims were Stillington who went down 6-1 to goals from Chris Hoy (4), Mick Tiplady and Paul Mills. Adam Howard managed a consolation strike for Stillington.

Second-placed Hamilton Panthers came back from 4-1 down at Heworth to win win 6-4.

Mike Pybus, Andy Coop, Andy Cooper and Mark Hughes had put the home side in control before the Panthers clawed back.

Nestl Rowntree lost their first league game as they went down 4-3 to Huby.

Goals from Will Nevianni (2) and Rob Blake were not enough as Adam Johnson (2) and Dave Brogan (2) went on to seal the win for Huby.

LNER Builders and White Horse shared the points in a 2-2 draw with David Marshall scoring both the White Horse goals. The Builders had a Mike Pratt strike and an own goal to thank for their point.
