A PUB landlord has died after falling from a balcony at an East Yorkshire hotel where he was competing in a national dominoes championship.
Father-of-four Leslie Bird, 57, a pub landlord from Telford, fell 15 feet from an internal balcony to the ground floor at the South Cliff Hotel, South Marine Drive, Bridlington, in the early hours of yesterday.
He suffered head and arm injuries and died in hospital in Scarborough.
Police said a 56-year-old Telford man, who had been in custody at Bridlington police station helping officers with their inquiries, had been bailed without charge.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who attended the dominoes championship at the hotel.
