Start Over, who ran a fine race in defeat at York earlier this month, is napped to get back in the winning groove at Nottingham tomorrow.

The three-year-old goes for the Freecartwright Handicap over ten furlongs and will again have the assistance of his regular rider, John Egan.

Start Over, a winner at Redcar earlier in the season, finished fifth to the gambled-on Blue Star in a 24-runner handicap on Knavesmire 11 days ago, a very creditable effort as he raced up with the pace and challenged for the lead more than a furlong from home.

Tomorrow's race, wide-open though it is, may not be quite as tough to for Start Over as at York.

Trainer Roger Charlton could be celebrating another winner with Famous Grouse in the Contract Journal Novice Stakes over one mile.

Jimmy Fortune's mount got off the mark by a head over this course and distance in late-August. There is surely better still to come from him.

Over the sticks at Chepstow, Bush Park makes plenty of appeal in the Adrian Dale Benefit Raceday Handicap Chase.

Robert Alner's gelding won by three lengths from Strong Magic at Uttoxeter recently and looks likely to improve again as a result of that outing. Andrew Thornton will again be on board.

Newcastle called off:
