BLACK SWAN, Pickering drew level on points with RJF Homes Beckett League division one leaders Duncombe Park thanks to a 3-1 win at Kirkdale United.

Duncombe Park were involved in a York FA Saturday Junior Cup-tie, which they lost 4-2 on penalties to Wilberfoss Reserves. Black Swan are now second in the table on goal difference.

Mark Ainsworth squared the ball for Simon Dale to give Black Swan the lead against Kirkdale after 42 minutes. Martin Charlton equalised from the penalty spot after Chris Wigley had fouled Ian Prendergast.

Steve Sailes scored twice for Black Swan in the second half, after 53 and 61 minutes, both times following good work by Chris Weighell.

Aislaby United are third in the table after a 4-0 win at Rosedale, who gave the visitors the lead with a Ben Adamson own goal. Kian Brewster followed up a rebound from his free kick to make it 2-0. Just before half-time Martin crossed from the left, Colin Tate head against the post and Kenny Temple followed up to score.

Aislaby's defence held firm as Rosedale applied pressure in the second half and Temple made it 4-0 with his second goal.

Union Rovers gained their first win of the season, beating visitors Sinnington 1-0 with an Andy Piercy goal in the first half.

Amotherby & Swinton, bottom of the division, got their first point with a 1-1 draw at home to Old Malton 3rds, who went ahead midway through the first half. Sam Thackery got the equaliser with ten minutes remaining.

Pickering Royal Oak came from behind to win 3-2 at Thornton-le-Dale and draw level on points with division two leaders Ampleforth, who were playing a York FA Saturday Junior Cup-tie.

Mike Lealman scored twice in the first half for Thornton, but Royal Oak hit back in the second period. Damon Cox scored with a header on the hour, after good work by Lee Thackery and Adam Hornby.

Substitute Alex McCrae equalised and Terry Davison got Oak's winner from a penalty after Hornby had been tripped.

Ashley Cook and Curtis Drummond got four goals each as third-in-the-table Heslerton Reserves romped to a 17-1 win away to second-from-bottom Black Bull, Thirsk. Matty Cass and Jerry Fields both hit hat-tricks, Danny Cass scored twice and there was an own goal.

Gillamoor scored their first win of the season, 4-2 away to Ryedale Sports Club Reserves, who took the lead after 10 minutes. John Reed scored with a far post header after good work by Nick Woodhead. Reed later twice hit the woodwork.

Dan Broadbent equalised early in the second half. Ian Horner regained the lead for Ryedale with a fierce drive and then Sam Robinson put Gillamoor back on level terms. Robinson and Broadbent both scored again to give Gillamoor the points.

Dave Wallinger scored a hat-trick for Ampleforth in their York FA Saturday Junior Cup first round match at home to Wigginton Black Horse but lost the tie 7-3 as Black Horse netted five goals in the last 15 minutes.

Russel Burn scored twice in the second half as Coxwold beat Norton United Reserves 4-2 in the Junior Cup. Robert Proudley was on target for Coxwold in the first half and Jason Sargent was on target in the second half.

Former Slingsby marksman Carl Biggins got his first hat-trick for Kirkbymoorside Reserves as they beat Bagby and Balk 6-2 in the first round of Ryedale Hospital Cup. Chris Hodgson got a brace and Andrew Wilkinson was the other scorer for the winners. Paul Fountain was on target for the losers.
