A MAN suffered serious injuries after he was set upon by a trio of attackers in what police have called "an extremely violent" assault.
The victim, who was walking behind the Rumours pub in Toft Green, was left with fractures to his eye-socket, arm and nose when he was attacked by three men at about 11.30pm on October 17. Police are now appealing for any witnesses who saw the assault, which officers said was unprovoked, to come forward. The victim, who has not been named, has been left with no recollection of his ordeal.
Sgt Colin Ventress, of York police, said: "His girlfriend can only say that he was attacked by three men.
Anyone with details about the assault should contact York police on 01904 631321.
