Colway Ritz, who has had a new lease of life this season, can complete a hat-trick of wins tomorrow at Catterick's final Flat meeting of the year.

Wilf Storey's eight-year-old goes for the Oliver Cromwell Handicap with regular rider Clare Roche aboard.

Two wins at York have been among the highlights of Colway Ritz's campaign, but his latest success was achieved over this course and distance.

Sent off the 9-2 third-favourite, the gelding struck the front more than two furlongs from home and prevailed by three-quarters of a length from Kent, with the the favourite Academy, a neck further back in third place.

Colway Ritz has remained in great heart for some time, and opportunity could come knocking for him again tomorrow.

Bond Playboy is napped to win the Thomas Darley Nursery over six furlongs.

The two-year-old has been in cracking form lately and was an excellent second to the progressive Cashel Mead at Windsor last week.

Trained by Bryan Smart, who has recently moved into the Hambleton yard, vacated by the now retired Les Eyre, Bond Playboy has a fine chance of returning to the winning groove. Smart apprentice Dean Corby has the mount.

The £10,000 Tote Bookmakers Handicap will see Sarraaf trying to overcome top weight of 10st 5lb.

Such a burden would anchor most horses, but it may not stop Paul Johnson's in-form gelding, who has incurred a 6lb penalty for winning a valuable race at Leicester last week.

Sarraaf, who loves soft ground, is in great nick and, with Paul Hanagan again booked to ride, he could score again despite his hefty weight.

Harrogate-based jockey Fergal Lynch, closing in on his maiden century of winners, could be one step nearer courtesy of Daliyana in the Hambleton Maiden Stakes.

Sir Michael Stoute's filly has finished in the frame on both her starts to date and, though no star, she looks capable of winning a race of this calibre.

Also worth noting at Catterick are the promising Change of Heart (1.30) and the speedy Soaked (3.30).

The highlight at Exeter tomorrow will be the £42,000 William Hill Haldon Gold Cup Chase, though Best Mate, last season's Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, will not be in the field.

His trainer Henrietta Knight relies instead on Edredon Bleu, but this admirable ten-year-old may have to play second fiddle to rising star Armaturk, one of last season's top novices.

Armaturk represents in-form trainer Paul Nicholls, who has a strong entry at this meeting at could also win with Whispering John (1.40), Ruby Gale (3.10) and Satshoon (3.40).
