BRIDE Paula Collins should have been given away by her stepfather Andy Campbell at her wedding this weekend. Tragically, he died a year ago after being stabbed.
It was an horrific incident, and a terrible ordeal for the family. But Paula was determined that Andy would play a part in her big day. So, after marrying Stephen, the newlyweds laid her wedding bouquet on his grave.
Earlier, Andy's colleagues from the fire service formed a guard of honour for the bride and groom. It was a hugely poignant ceremony and one which demonstrated beyond doubt that although gone, Andy Campbell is not forgotten.
