IN response to Neil Sterio's letter (October 30), I wholeheartedly disagree with his comments about "scabs", "non-strikers" and "blacklegs".

If it were not for these fine fellows who set themselves aside from socialist free-mongering, we would not have the Great Britain we once had. People who want a 'free meal ticket' and do not wish to work should remember nothing comes for free.

There are leaders and there are followers. Mr Blair and his Government have had their chance to grace this country with socialism and it does not work. Let's make Britain great once again, like it was with the royal family and under a Conservative government.

It is time to get back to the true morals of decency, the British way of thinking and of working.

Socialism died with Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. If Mr Sterio disagrees, then let him emigrate to Cuba!
