YORK diners might note a mischievous menu addition in 12 of York's top restaurants during the run-up to Christmas - naked chefs.
The cheeky dish will be more a feast for the eyes than the palate - the brave volunteers will only be baring their all in a local fundraising charity calendar Raw Cooks.
The "tastefully-exposed" calendars, the brainchild of Kenny Noble, head chef at the Blue Bicycle, Fossgate, will go on sale to the public by the end of November.
"Originally the idea was to ask Yorkshire's celebrity chefs to pose, but I decided it was the chefs who actually work in the city's kitchens that bring in the tourists so I asked around," said Kenny (Mr December).
"We've had an amazing response, including help from City of York Council. All the chefs have chosen their own causes and all money raised will be divided between them."
The calendar will cost £5 and help charities including the special care baby unit at York District Hospital.
