AN charity carol concert is to be held in Tadcaster.
Cancer Research UK's Carols by Candlelight service will be held at St Mary's Church. The service, which will feature the Wetherby-based choir, the Elysian Singers, will start at 7.30pm, on Monday, December 9. After the carols, there will be a tombola and raffle in the church hall and festive refreshments, including mince pies.
Tickets to the service cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. They are available from Cyclesense, in High Street, Tadcaster, the Skipton Building Society, in Market Place, Wetherby, or by telephoning Ann Newton on 01937 841470.
