JAMIE Bucknell was a bright, lively, loving young man. His sudden death from a heart attack, aged 14, shattered his family and saddened a city.
Yet something remarkable and positive has emerged from that tragedy. Jamie's parents found the strength to launch a campaign to raise money for heart monitors. Evening Press readers responded magnificently, and now York District Hospital has 12.
There is no doubt these monitors will save lives. That is Jamie's true and lasting legacy.
