YORK City geared up for this Saturday's crunch FA Cup first round tie against Swansea with a spell in the fast lane.
Maintaining his tradition of unusual pre-cup outings, manager Terry Dolan took his squad to the F1 Karting circuit at Monk's Cross.
The day was sponsored by Dixon Renault.
In previous seasons, Dolan has taken his players for training sessions on the beach at Filey followed by fish and chips, to an outdoor activity centre and also to a top-class hotel where the squad made use of its leisure facilities.
City named a strong squad for this afternoon's reserve team clash with Notts County at Bootham Crescent, kick-off 2pm.
Included were defenders Chris Smith, Scott Jones and Gary Hobson, who are all pressing for a recall on Saturday after injury.
Midfielder Aidan O'Kane was also included after a recent trial spell with Scarborough with trialist midfielder Neil Ashley named among the substitutes.
CITY: Collinson, Wise, Jones, Smith, Hobson, Cooper, Fox, Wilding, O'Kane, Rogerio, Mathie. Subs: Hampshire, Okoli, Ashley, Yalcin, Law
