A POPULAR venue will once again be filled with the big band sound after an absence of several years - thanks to York's Modernaires Orchestra.
The Folk Hall, New Earswick, will be hosting a Grand Autumn Dance on Saturday, from 8pm to midnight.
Modernaires spokesman Peter Mouncey, said: "Although the sounds of the big bands have not been heard at the Folk Hall for several years, all tickets have been sold for this event and there are encouraging signs that the venture will continue next year."
