CHILDREN from Dunnington Primary School packed boxes full of gifts for underprivileged children as part of Operation Christmas Child.
More than 90 boxes filled with toys, stationery and toiletries were brought into school as part of a worldwide campaign run by Samaritan's Purse.
The children also raised almost £200 to deliver the boxes to children living in Eastern European states and Afghanistan.
The project was organised by pupils Chris and Lucy Ainslie and Edward Alexander from the school council.
Head teacher Roger Highton said: "We have done this previously, but it has never been run by the school council before. The fact that they have taken the initiative is great."
Anne Baker from Dixon Renault, Clifton Moor Gate, visited the school to collect the boxes. Dixon Renault is one of a number of businesses collecting the boxes on behalf of Samaritan's Purse.
