REGARDING your report on the spate of vandalism at Selby Civic Centre.
It beggars belief that such damage, which must generate considerable noise, can be carried out within earshot of the centre's next door neighbour, the police station.
Vandals appear to know they can carry out their destructive deeds with impunity. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised. There is about as much chance of seeing a "bobby on the beat" in Selby, as winning the Lottery or sighting Lord Lucan!
