WENDY Smith hit a maximum while partnering Dawn Exton to a 20-dart game as Cygnet 'A' swept aside Slipper 7-2 in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.

Gill Harley was Slipper's lone singles winner and pairs winner with Doreen Johnstone.

Jayne Janes closed on 88 for Cue Ball against Slip, whose replies were from Pat Cairns and Gill Warriner.

Ox's Sandra Bruce hit three tons in her singles, but it was in vain as Palace ran out 6-3 winners.

Sue Claydon (140, 100) hit the big scores for Cygnet 'B' but so did Tap's Vicky Arundale (100, 100) who then partnered Tina Platt to secure the match.

Sandra Fairclough, Jean West and Sharon Neads put Flag on level terms but Phoenix earned a 6-3 victory, with Clair Cooper starring.

Clifton 'A' recorded a singles clean sweep with high scoring from Jo Hodges, Lynn Richford, then Ruth Norman. Britannia 'A' rallied to gain two points through good scoring from Kath Williams and Rachael Potter.

Leeman 'B' shot into a clear lead in division two with good darts from Floss Crampton against Severus, whose Linda Davies was their best performer.

Lynn Robson (117, 105) and Anne Smith scored well but Holgate went 4-2 down to Clifton 'B', whose Angie Blackmore was in excellent form. However, the club side bounced back and Chris Godson-Lin Gould grabbed the decider.

Sam and Janet McShane put Britannia 'B' on to a decider but Leeman 'A' team's captain, Peggy Rose, and Linda Abley came out on top.

Paula Birkitt partnered Lynn Lawday to get Blacksmith's victory over Jubilee, while double-ton play by Maggie Beddingham failed to save Shepherd 'A' against Burton WMC.

Vaults leapt to the top of division three after a closely contested match at Mitre. Anne Keswick gave her side a 4-2 advantage and then Fran Holmes-Terri Corney secured the vital games.

Joan Knowles-Michelle Kelly were needed by Puss 'B' to secure the last game after Reindeer's Jo Jackson-Maggie Doherty had made it all square.

Cue Ball's Joan Hunter and Barbara Johnson played well, but so did Nikke Ryley and Gwen Emmerson to put Burnholme level. June Miller-Audrey Carling restored the lead and Miller combined with Pauline Willey to clinch victory.

Shelagh Kenny, Barbara Russell and Sharon Rishworth gave Leeman 'C' a good start before Ebor's Davina Phillips and Marie Simpson responded. Colleen Cunniff made it 4-2 and then Russell-Rishworth shot 24 darts to complete wins for all three Leeman sides.

Sharon Nelson slotted 141, 120, but Woolpack lost out 5-4. Carol Stone-Jo Schofield sealed the win for Puss 'n Boots 'A'.

Rufforth's Tankard 'A' have an eight-point lead in Marston Moor Villages League following an 8-1 win over Spotted Ox, whose Jamie Taylor included a doubles-board 100 score. John Collins made it nine from nine wins for Tankard.

Second-placed Royal Oak, Tadcaster, also saw Gary Stead retain his unbeaten record and Andy Hill checked 100 for 24 darts to go third in the Three Highest Finishes table.

Oak had more tons from Andy Carter and Chris Scaum, while Red Lion, beaten 7-2, had a hundred score from Anthony Smith.

Sun Inn beat Alice Hawthorn 'B' 7-2 which included a splendid 21 darts from Dave Smith.

Ton scoring by both Jeff Twort and Stuart Newton served Nelson well as they progressed to a 5-4 win against Tankard 'B', while Lord Collingwood edged Hammerton Social 5-4.

Social's Dave Stoakes gamed on 64 and Stuart Jackson scored a couple of tons, but a ton from Collingwood's Steve Wragg puts him at the head of the Tons Scored table and he checked 72 and gamed in 23 darts. Nick Brown included a ton score.

A Rich Corner 108 bull finish for 17 darts inspired Bay Horse 'A' to a fine 7-2 win over Six Bells in York Open League division one.

Bay Horse also had a 21-darter from Paul Cooper, while John Quantock shone for Bells.

Greyhound held the top spot after a narrow win over Cygnet. Steve Limbert-Simon Hirst took the all-important ninth game. However, good scores from Alan Simpson and Bob Greenwood saved the aggregate.

Nineteen darts from Steve Reynolds gave Slipper the edge over Bishopthorpe, whose Tony Raymond (20) stood out.

Volunteer's march up the table continued with a 6-3 victory at Clifton. Paul Dixon (21) supported a Paul Botterill 20-darter and then Botterill (180) combined with Mick Harris in a 23-dart 701 to wrap up the win.

Howden remain top of division two following a 6-3 win at Huntington 'A', whose best effort came from Mal Duncanson. Dave Tatterton (21) put Howden in the driving seat and was well supported by Geoff Kitson.

Dick Willoughby gamed in 19 and a maximum from Ken Smith made the running as Pack led 4-2, but Mount 'A' fought back to collect all the pairs and the match, though Pack hung on to take the aggregate.

Dave Cormack cornerstoned Woolpack's 6-3 win over Ebor, while consistent scores from Bob Rochester and Neil Caywood secured the aggregate for Reindeer at Crescent 'B'.

The top of the table clash in division three surprisingly saw Huntington 'B' demolish the leaders Yearsley 8-1. Pip Hair (20) showed the way for Huntington, while Glen Littlechild prevented the whitewash.

John Harrison-Dave Newsome steered Jackdaw to victory at Burton, while Billy Wylie was Fulford Arms' man of the match in their 5-4 win over Ship.

Sue and Geoff Holmes were Mount 'B' match winners at Little John, while high scores from Ali Wray gave Bay Horse 'B' the aggregate win at Winning Post.
