SNOOKER star John Parrott has had to delay his return to York this weekend because he was injured in a car accident yesterday.
His car was stationary on the M6 when he was caught up in a shunt.
It is understood he suffered whiplash injuries, with a wound above one eye.
Although he was knocked out of the PowerHouse UK Championship at the Barbican Leisure Centre on Tuesday and returned home to Merseyside, he was due to come back to York tomorrow to work for BBC television on its snooker coverage. He will not now be here till Monday.
