JAMES GORE may face an agonising decision on Sunday - playing in a historic FA Cup clash or experiencing the birth of his first child.
The Harrogate Railway FC midfielder, from Severus Avenue, York, is due to pull on his boots against Second Division Bristol City in the second round of the cup.
But his wife, Kate, is still waiting to give birth, four days after their baby was due.
"It will be ideal if the two don't clash, but knowing my luck they will," said James, 26.
"I've been told women can be in labour for a long time, so hopefully I'll be able to play and then rush to be with her.
"I can't concentrate at work for thinking about the birth and big game."
James's dad, John, added: "I hope a decision doesn't have to be made."
