THE York City Football Trust should try to get the City of York Council to state that planning permission will not be given for the ground in the foreseeable future.
Then to persuade the Council to try to purchase the ground from Bootham Crescent Holdings at a reasonable price, it could then be leased to the club.
This would go a long way in saving the club and be a good future investment for the citizens of York.
