DRINGHOUSES took another decisive step towards retaining their Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'A' title by hammering fourth-placed Osbaldwick 8-1.

Alex Dewhirst, Nick Brown, Jamie Backhouse (2), Gary Lonsborough, Alan Smith, Wayne Carter and Shane Laverack scored, with Mark Crangle hitting a consolation.

St John's College came back from 2-0 down at Old Malton to move in to second place.

Richard Hudson and Richard Abbey gave Old Malton the lead but a second-half brace from Robin Bedford and a winner from Paul Thompson saw the Students to victory.

Malton Bacon Factory won 3-1 at Kartiers. Jamie Wood struck twice and Des Craggs scored a 30-yard free-kick. Sean Breheney netted for Kartiers in the last minute.

Bottom club Huntington triumphed 7-2 over Bishopthorpe with Chris Dower and Mark Gamble netting hat-tricks. Gareth Kirby scored the other Huntington goal.

New Earswick and Dunnington drew 1-1. Shaun Urquhart scored for Earswick after five minutes and Jamie Calvert equalised 20 minutes later.

Chris Plowman struck the game's only goal to send Reserve 'B' leaders Easingwold to defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Copmanthorpe moved closer to the top with a 6-0 romp at Civil Service. Simon Evans, Joel Smith, Mark Flood, Andrew Manns (2) and Paul Scurry scored.

Haxby threw away a 4-1 lead in the last 15 minutes to lose 6-4 to Poppleton, whose goals came from Dave Bailey (3), Jim Brown, Dan Barrett and Jamie Agnew.

Chris Hall, Tom Fowler and Charlie Goodwin scored two apiece as Moor Lane won 6-1 at Rufforth.

Matthew Wood struck in the 70th minute to give Riccall a 1-0 win at Haxby & Wigginton. Angus Clapham hit a hat-trick and James Wood a brace as Wigginton Black Horse beat Barmby Moor 5-0.

Reserve 'C' leaders Thorpe United were given a close run by Wheldrake before winning 3-2. Barry Martland, Mike Tiplady and Chris Smith were Thorpe's scorers with Roger Lovelace and Martin Chapman responding.

Second-placed Hamilton Panthers twice trailed at White Horse before winning it 5-3 in the second half. Jonathan Marshall scored twice for White Horse and John Sumner the third but Danny Midgley, Brad Dunne (2), Steve Gagen and Jamie Dawe saw Panthers home.

Lee Ward (3), Tom and Chris Caudwell and Lee Banfield saw Hemingbrough win 6-0 at LNER Builders, while Felix Duparc (2), Will Nevianni and Tom Sellars (2) saw Nestl Rowntree beat Heworth 5-1.

Norton and Wilberfoss shared ten goals and an amazing finish. Stuart Ellis (3) and Bill Spowitt put Norton 4-1 up with 12 minutes to go, Phil Stothard having scored for 'Foss. John Hardcastle (2), Damien Holden and Paul Umpleby then sparked a remarkable turnaround which put Wilberfoss in front only for Spowitt to grab an equaliser in the last minute.
