YORK acoustic singer-songwriter Dan Webster takes a break from recording his new album to play a home-city show in Fibbers tomorrow.
"I've been busy this past month doing the album. All the vocal and guitar parts are complete - the Dan bits! - and are sounding superb," he said. "Unfortunately there'll be a delay in its release but hopefully it'll be ready for late February, or early March next year." Webster is attracting the attentions of a London independent label. "They've requested my recorded material following a gig," he said. "Don't get too exited: I'm just viewing it as flattering at the moment."
Webster will be supported by Riverstones and Lucid, and tickets are available at £3 in advance from Fibbers, in Stonebow, tel 01904 651250, or on the door at £4.
