IT'S a busy month for Father Christmas, and in one Ryedale village he was run off his feet.
Santa was hard at work in his grotto at Thornton-le-Dale as children from the C of E school had fun at their Christmas Fair.
Headteacher Colin Babister said: "Father Christmas was very busy that day.
"We had the school children there, and the pre-school, and then in the evening he was busy turning on the village Christmas lights."
Mr Babister said he thought the fundraisers had done a fantastic job at the event, which took place on Saturday. "I would imagine we would make somewhere around £1,000."
