YORK CITY'S Brazilian striker Rogerio is set to join UniBond League premier division club Harrogate Town on a month's loan.

He will go straight into the side against Runcorn at Wetherby Road on Saturday as skipper Robbie Whellans is suspended - if the deal goes ahead today.

City reserves beat their Scunthorpe United counterparts 2-1 after falling behind to a Paul Hayes goal midway through the first-half yesterday.

Youth team striker Levent Yalcin levelled the scores on the half-hour mark with a wonderful strike, flicking the ball over a defender with one foot before volleying the ball home off his other.

City's second and match winning goal came midway through the second half, with Craig Wilding scoring another stunning goal. Yalcin delivered a fine centre from the right which Wilding controlled on his chest before netting from 18 yards.

Defender Tom Cowan came through the second-half of the Avon Insurance League division one (east) clash, his first outing in more than six weeks after a calf strain, unscathed.
