MEMBERS of York Vikings Rotary Club have presented £1,750 to help keep the life-saving Yorkshire Air Ambulance flying high.
The money was raised during a charity golf day held at York Golf Club, Strensall, which netted a total of £6,000.
A cheque was presented by former president Brian Nuttell to Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity fundraising director John Sutherland during a ceremony at WTI Training Group, Burn Hall, Huby.
Mr Nuttell said: "As well as supporting Rotary charities at home and abroad, some of the £6,000 raised has already been given to Martin House Hospice. But we also felt the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity was an extremely worthwhile cause, hence our donation."
Mr Sutherland said: "We greatly appreciate this gesture."
