SANTA proved four wheels were better than nine reindeer when he took to his skateboard to visit an East Yorkshire school.
The skateboarding Santa visited Pocklington Montessori School to hand out tenth anniversary gifts to pupils. The gifts were designed by Shirley Briggs, whose grandchildren, Brook and Harriet, attend the school. Shirley took part in a competition, run by the school, to design commemorative gifts. She beat off competition from professional designers to win tickets to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. School manager, Suzie Petrie, said: " Shirley arrived with design boards depicting three or four excellent ideas, and I have to say far superior to any that the professionals were coming up with."
The designs were reproduced on to mugs and handed out by Santa to all the children.
