A YORK school was temporarily transformed into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as part of a Harry Potter day.
Children at Canon Lee School invited youngsters from Clifton Without Junior School to take part in Harry Potter activities yesterday.
The children dressed up and took potion-making lessons.
They also heard magical stories and took part in spell book-making.
Staff also dressed up as their favourite Harry Potter characters to join in with the fun.
A number of prizes were awarded for best costume, best spell and best page from a spell book.
Kath Jordan, English teacher at Canon Lee School, said: "The kids have really enjoyed the day. This is the third one we have held and it has been the biggest and the best yet."
