Sheriff Hutton Bridge won both their games in the latest round of matches to challenge the leadership of the York and District Indoor Cricket League first division.
They beat title hopefuls Rowntrees 'A' and bottom-of-the-table Thirsk, against whom Peter Crowder cracked 46. Rowntrees bounced back to beat Wilberfoss by 20 runs in the cup competition which they are seeking to win for a third successive season.
