REGARDING the pay settlement for the firemen, which is proposed to be self-financing over a period of three years by better work practices.
It is also proposed that certain incidents are to be paid for by the person's or the company's insurance. Does the public realise that by this, virtually all motor and household or property insurance premiums will rise, affecting everyone in the country?
In this rise in premiums, the Government levies a tax of five per cent which goes to the Exchequer. Is it a pay rise or another stealth tax imposed by the Government to the detriment of every person in the country?
