RESIDENTS at a York community unit for the elderly rolled back the years at their fun-filled Christmas party.

More than 50 full-time and day care patients at Mill Lodge Community Unit enjoyed an afternoon of singing, comedy and magic at their annual festive gathering.

As well as tucking into a Christmas buffet, staff and residents also received presents from Santa at the end of an action-packed day.

Meanwhile, turkey and all the trimmings was on the menu when York pensioners tucked into their annual Christmas lunch.

More than 130 people piled into St Olave's School when the York Lions held a lunch for senior citizens.

The Lord Mayor of York, Coun David Horton, chatted with guests at the dinner, which gives elderly people a chance to enjoy the festive season among friends.
