A NEW organic farming umbrella group has been set up in an effort to promote organic businesses throughout the country.
Existing organic producer groups led by the Soil Association, have joined together to create the National Organic Producer Group Forum which had its first meeting this week.
Representatives from all over the country attended. including North Yorkshire organic and pesticide-free producers.
A network of information and support including the exchange of ideas and experience as well as the foundations for inter-farm trading will now be established.
