LEGWARMERS and crimped hair will be rife in Tadcaster as the town celebrates Christmas with a 1980s charity disco.
Eighties tribute band Spandau Caf, who send up bands including Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Depeche Mode, have organised the bash, which starts at 8pm on Friday at the Riley Smith Hall.
The band, who are playing a half-hour set at the disco, will be selling tour T-shirts to raise money for charity. They have already raised more than £700, which will be shared between the Tadcaster old people's treat and Martin House children's hospice.
