EVENING Press readers have raised enough money to give a dose of Christmas cheer to York hit-and-run victim Katie Scales.
Hundreds of pounds arrived at our office yesterday, which means that readers have donated more than £800 in only four days to buy a top-of-the-range computer for the 11-year-old Haxby girl.
The All Saints' School pupil will be able to use the computer to send quick emails to friends as she makes her long recovery from serious injuries, suffered earlier this month when she was knocked down by a car in Blossom Street.
