YORK City administrator David Willis has confirmed that a couple more interested parties have stepped forward since the club's appearance before the courts on Wednesday.

And, encouragingly for the Minstermen, the original parties who had confirmed their interests are still looking at the potential of investing in the Division Three promotion-chasers.

Those who had spoken to the administrators were now looking closer at the financial aspects of taking over the club.

Willis, who believes that it will be after Christmas before a firm offer could come in, said: "Things are going well. A few more interested parties have shown an interest since the club was put into administration, while the people we were aware of are still interested.

"They are now doing their own financial calculations. There is a lot of work involved."
