Elvington Harriers' erratic form in Leeper Hare York and District League division two continued as they bounced back from last weekend's defeat at Stamford Bridge to crush fellow promotion hopefuls Hamilton Panthers 5-1 on Knavesmire.

They were three up by half-time with goals from Richard Walshaw, Jon Rogerson and Luke Dove, and went four up within two minutes of the restart when Rogerson netted again.

Although Paul King, the Panthers' best forward on the day, managed to pull one back before Dove rounded off the scoring twenty minutes from time.

There was another high scoring game at Poppleton, who held the lead on three occasions but lost 4-3 to Ouseburn & Hammerton.

Poor defending kept the visitors in the game and they snatched the winner ten minutes from the end. Poppleton's marksmen were Dan Adams, Simon Hunt and John Taylor.

Huby won the Christmas derby at Easingwold thanks to an own goal and two strikes from Martin Durrant. Paul Rhodes scored for the home side after half an hour.

White Horse are still searching for their first league win after a 3-1 defeat at Heslington. Steve Long was their lone striker as Stuart Dickinson, Terry Taylor and John Thornton scored for the home side.

Barmby Moor overcame the challenge of LNER Builders. Gavin Young scored the only goal of the first half for Barmby. Mark Rollinson equalised for the Builders ten minutes into the second half.

Tom Gibson restored Barmby's lead and with the Builders pressing for another equaliser Young put the result beyond doubt when he bagged his second goal inside the last five minutes.

Stillington took the lead through Andrew Metcalfe in the second half at Stamford Bridge and it took two late goals from Jamie Rank and James Willmoth to keep Stamford Bridge top of the table.

Amotherby missed the chance to lead division three after a 4-4 draw at Sheriff Hutton. But they might be happy with the point as they were two down and equalised only in the last minute.

Simon Roy (2), Alex Rouse and Dan Lazenby were the Sheriff Huttom marksmen.

Selby RSSC and Wheldrake consolidated fourth and fifth places respectively. The Selby side won 3-1 at home to Strensall with goals from Andrew Jones (2) and Matthew Williams, Chris Graham replying for Strensall.

Wheldrake won 4-1 at Rawcliffe Rangers. Dan Young recorded the consolation goal for Rangers.

Heworth drew Hemingbrough to move off the bottom of the table. Martin Greaves headed in a corner to get a point for Hemingbrough.

Norton won at Marton cum Grafton with goals from Dean Readman, John Dutton, Roy Heslewood, Chris Maxon and Scott Palmer. Jon Brear and Chris Chambers scored for Marton.
