TICKETS for York City's home match against Hull City on Boxing Day are selling very well, the club have reported.

The match is an all-ticket affair, with tickets only available until 2pm today and then on Friday until 4pm, from the club office at Bootham Crescent.

Already the family stand is sold out and the main stand is nearly sold out. Other sections are also selling well.

The Tigers have been allocated 3,500 tickets, comprising the entire away end and two sections of the Popular Stand, and they too have reported high sales.

Minstermen commercial manager James Richardson said: "Fans must come today before 2pm or Friday before 4pm. No tickets will be available on the day of the match. It is all-ticket under police instruction."

Hull's Boxing Day match against Hartlepool United at the new Kingston Communications Stadium has sold out.

Demand for tickets has been extraordinary with the last one of the 22,000 capacity sold early yesterday. The stadium was also sold out when it was officially opened last week with a friendly against Sunderland.
