WELL done the Evening Press for revealing the sordid business dealings between Douglas Craig and his mates at Bootham Crescent Holdings (BCH) and the man with many faces, John Batchelor.
Craig's efforts to justify the claim that BCH was set up to safeguard the future of York City have now been exposed to show that the sole intention of creating this company was simply a scheme to make him and others very rich men.
Chairmen and directors of York City have been the guardians of our fine club since its formation. Craig et al and Batchelor have ended this tradition with their get-rich-quick and who-cares-about-York City scheme.
I am sure, as a York company, Persimmon must feel ashamed to be part of this affair.
If Craig, Batchelor and Persimmon do get their way and York City go to the wall, many fair-minded fans will do all they can to stop the proposed building of homes on our hallowed turf.
