ROSALIND Craven is another woman who has battled for something she believes in. She lost.
Our heart goes out to her as she watches workers prepare to erect three monstrous electricity pylons on her land.
As these ugly giants are built, everyone for miles around will know precisely what she was fighting against.
Imagine it was your backyard that was being dug up, and you will know how Mrs Craven feels today.
And this gutsy woman may yet be financially ruined by legal costs.
We hope Mrs Craven can draw some comfort from the fact that she is a genuine North Yorkshire heroine.
