Programmes at Yorkshire Television were broadcast as normal despite a bomb alert closing several roads and buildings close to its headquarters in Leeds.
The alarm was raised yesterday afternoon when a bag containing what was believed to be four Second World War hand grenades and several rounds of rifle ammunition were found in Burley Road, close to the YTV building.
West Yorkshire Police cordoned off the area, several roads were closed and some buildings were evacuated as an Army bomb disposal unit removed the items.
All roads and buildings were reopened at about 6pm.
A spokesman for YTV said: "It didn't really affect us, except we could not get into our car park for a couple of hours.
"Programmes went ahead as normal."
